How and where will we be living and working tomorrow? The "future_factory_", run by the Sparkassen (savings banks) financial group, wants to provide answers to this question. Futuristic multi-media equipment allow the visitors to move about through rooms of the future both at home and at work, and, amongst other things, to design their own dream home.

The Sparkassen financial group also presents ideas for solutions to the challenges of the future in the thematic area exhibition "The 21st Century" - illustrated by using the Aachen region as an example. In the savings bank branch of the year 2030 a virtual butler offers the customer advice on share purchases and discovers their secret account number by just reading their eyes.

Back to the present: here the search begins for the original "sources" of our life together as a society. At the "Source Site" over 70 cultural, economic and social projects, sponsored by the Sparkassen financial group are presented, both as games and in other artistic ways.
