Euregio (European Economic Representation of Interests - Tyrol-Alto Adige, Trentino)

Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino are going together

The triangle is the symbol of the joint presentation "Euregio Tyrol, South Tyrol-Alto Adige and Trentino". It is in the form of a mountain that symbolises both the differences and unity of this region of the Alps simultaneously.

This is also shown in the sculpture designed for the 'Euregio' by the video artist Fabrizio Plessi of Venice. His work consists of three steel triangles. One is standing, one leaning against the first, and another lying down. Into this steel construction, television screens have been inserted, on which videos on the topic of "water and mountain" inform about the three countries. Water and Mountains determine life both in Austria's Tyrol and in the Italian Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano and Trent.

The Euregio's participation in EXPO is something special: For the first time in the history of modern World Expositions such a non-national construction presents itself next to the nations.
